Anark 4.6.7 Release Announcement

Publishing, sharing, and collaborating on the highest quality engineering product data is complex business. Our Engineering team has put in the work to improve product quality, enhance flexibility for IT administrators, and expand features for end users. Our latest release includes enhancement requests from customers like you, planned product features that improve value, and changes that open new use cases to our customers.

Anark continues to roll out Anark Collaborate "Spaces" which is where customers can use the the new content-centric collaboration feature set that also includes even more flexibility to mark up Model-Based content along with new panel options to define templates in much more flexible ways.   The Webinars on these topics from December 2025 thru February 2026 show the capabilities, along with Anark Publish Gateway described in detail for this release.

Anark Release 4.6.7 includes the following enhancements, new features, and bug fixes. Additional information can be found in the product documentation included with the release and here is the Anark Software Release Download Page.  The next release will be 4.6.8 planned for Summer 2026.

Anark Publish Upgrades

When upgrading Anark Publish to versions 4.5.85 and later from 4.5.83 or older, you must uninstall the old version before upgrading to new versions.

Example: If you are on 4.5.80, and will upgrade to this latest release of 4.6.7, you must uninstall 4.5.80 and then install 4.6.6.

Anark Publish Gateway Enhancements

The Anark Publish Gateway was introduced in Release 4.6.5 and provides a complete, recipe-driven, browser-based approach for automated publishing and CAD translation. It manages the extraction, processing, transformation of engineering CAD data, technical documents and other types of data to  generation 3D PDF or Anark Collaborate technical data content, with detailed job logs, working directly from your web browser and desktop.

The web-based interface allows users to submit jobs that can include the many CAD formats Anark supports, monitor progress in real time, and ensure consistent, repeatable output. With Anark Publish Gateway, there’s no need to install native CAD applications or any Anark software on the client machine to run a publication process.

If users have access to the required CAD assembly data. including subassemblies, parts, attachments, and embedded files, they can initiate publishing directly without needing access to PLM systems.  This new capability greatly expands the flexibility of Anark users to execute and track complex publishing processes. Note that the initial release of Anark Publish Gateway supporting the foundations and 3D PDF publication was available in Release 4.6.5.  With Release 4.6.6 completed this product and Release 4.6.7 adds addition of additional capabilities listed.

Watermarking Enhancements:

• Added support for adding watermarks to PDF documents.
• Added capabilities for removing watermarks from PDF documents.
• Introduced support for both text-based and file-based watermarking.
• Developed a dedicated interface for managing watermark configurations which provides capability to create, update, and delete watermark configurations.
• Added options for storing and managing multiple watermark configurations (Text and File based). This will allow customers to administer templates and standardize watermark configuration usage on PDF documents.

Workflow Orchestration Enhancements:

• Added workflow orchestration-based publishing that will allow customers to define a combination of publishing jobs involving recipe-based publishing and watermarks.
• Introduced workflow templates that enable administrators to define and manage publishing workflows containing multiple jobs.
• Developed a dedicated interface for creating and managing workflow templates. The capabilities include creating, update, and delete workflow templates.
• Added support for job types within workflows including:
  • Recipe-based publishing
  • Watermark addition
  • Watermark removal

• Introduced interface to monitor workflows and track the status of individual workflow jobs.
• Added support to download outputs generated by individual workflow jobs.
• Added download options for the final consolidated output generated from the complete workflow.

PLM Integrations and Publishing

• Windchill Integration:  Added configuration options to attach 3D PDF using either the administrator or the currently logged-in user. Previously, 3D PDFs were attached using the current session user, which caused publishing failures when the user did not have modify access.
• Teamcenter Integration: Added support for Teamcenter 2512. Teamcenter Reference Integration out of the box can now be deployed on Teamcenter 2512 for both NX and Creo data publishing.

• Fixed Content publishing overwrites on existing content with same content id.
• Addressed where publishing failed when CAD data input file name contained numbers only.
• Fixed publishing failure when the output file name contained special characters.
• Resolved an issue where STEP files were not supported in attachments.
• Fixed the issue where only advanced MBD options were supported during recipe creation. The application supports both basic and advanced connectors.
• Corrected Anark Collaborate Publishing behavior where content property values were displayed along with keys.
• Addressed an issue with mandatory validation for content properties.
• Corrected an issue to ensure Output PDF file names do not contain special characters.

• Upgraded to Spatial Interop 2026.1.0.0.08
• Upgraded to Parasolid v38.1
• Upgraded to HOOPS 2026.3.0

PLM Integrations and Publishing

• Windchill: Fixed an issue where publishing process used to fail during check-in process of 3D PDF back to Windchill. Added access validation for users on the respective WTObject before initiating the publishing process.
• Teamcenter: Fixed an problem where SMTP email notifications were not being sent in failure cases specifically for when uploading 3D PDF files to Teamcenter failed.

Release 4.6.7 continues to support the Teamcenter versions below:

Anark has added support for NX2506 in Release 4.6.3 and NX2512 in 4.6.6.

PTC Windchill Support Notice

Release 4.6.7 continues to support the Windchill versions below:

Notes on Compatibility Updates to Creo 11 & Windchill 12/13

• Since the orientation issue has been resolved in Creo 11.0.7.0 and 12.4.2.0, Windchill Reference Integration Release 4.6.6 will support versions in the 11.0.7.X and 12.4.2.X series.
• Also, we are reverting to the temporary workaround implemented in Windchill Reference Integration, which involves performing check-out and undoing check-out operations on all assemblies and their sub-assemblies during publishing.
• Windchill Reference Integration has been tested against Creo 11.0.7.0 and 12.4.2.0, and is expected to support other Creo versions (8, 9, and 10) as well.

Deprecated Imported Attributes in the Anark Creo Adapter

The subsequent Release 4.6.8 of Workstation and Publish will remove some imported attributes from Creo Adapter imports. The following imported attributes will not be available when importing Creo models using the Creo Advanced MBD option in Workstation and Publish:

Imported attributes that have the "PTC_..." prefix may be used to get the same information as the attributes above (e.g., "gt1_ValueString" is equivalent to "PTC_GTOL_PRIMARY_TOL"). Attributes with the "PTC_..." prefix are already included in the import for existing releases of Workstation and Publish.

Please contact us so that we provide workarounds and suggestions if you depend on these deprecated attributes for your publishing workloads.

Third Party Deprecation Schedule

Our products use or depend on some third party components. Our philosophy is to provide support to match the oldest version officially supported by each third party provider. For example, we follow the Microsoft support plan for versions of Windows. This section is intended to communicate these schedules in advance to allow our customers to plan. See more info below.

Anark Collaborate

Collaborate currently supports both MongoDB 7 and 8. Per the Mongo schedule, they have removed support for MongoDB 6 in July 2025. We have ended support for MongoDB 6.0 in Release 4.6.5.

Collaborate currently supports RHEL 8 and 9. Per Red Hat’s policy, you must purchase support from Red Hat for RHEL 8 beyond May 31, 2024.

Anark Workstation and Anark Publish 

Workstation and Publish currently support Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025 and Windows 11. Note that Microsoft has dropped support for Windows 10 on Oct 14, 2025, and has dropped support for Windows Server 2019 on Jan 9, 2024. We support .NET Framework 4.7.2 and up. 

Anark has dropped support for Windows 10 in Release 4.6.5. We added support for Windows 2025 in 4.6.6.

Anark Release versioning since 4.6.0:

The main reason behind the new release numbering scheme that started with Release 4.6.0 is to support a major.minor.patch scheme that follows SEMANTIC VERSIONING. For more information, read https://semver.org/ . Essentially, the new numbering scheme means:

1. MAJOR version - when we make incompatible/breaking changes or offer significant new functionality. For example, a new and improved API, a new database schema, etc. These changes should be reviewed thoroughly before upgrading.

2. MINOR version - when we add new functionality in a backward compatible manner. The majority of Anark’s changes to Publish and Workstation will be MINOR or PATCH.

3. PATCH version - when we make backward compatible bug fixes.

We will endeavor to maintain backward compatibility as often as possible to reduce the impact on you, our customers. However, if the potential benefit significantly outweighs the impact, we may elect to make those tradeoffs and will communicate those changes in advance.

Customers who are experiencing problems should strongly consider taking PATCH releases. Customers who want to evaluate new functionality should consider MINOR releases.
