Nordic MBE Forum 2026
October 2026 Västerås, Sweden: Anark reselling partner Ariadne Engineering AB held the 2nd ever Nordic Model Based Enterprise Forum in Sweden recently. This unique event envision by Model Based subject matter expert and Ariadne Managing Director Miroslav Chamera, brought together leading experts and companies from Europe, North America, and the Nordic region to explore the transformative power of Model Based Definition (MBD).
The forum was designed to inspire collaboration, share practical experiences, and explore the real-world impact of model-based strategies on product development, manufacturing, and digital transformation.
Bridging the MBE Gap with Content-based Collaboration Workshop
How do you move from model-based engineering to a Model-Based Enterprise that teams across the organization can actually use? This is the question that Anark VP of Marketing Patrick Dunfey explored as part of a workshop he conducted during the event that was VERY well attended! If you would like to see a repeat of this workshop style, we have captured the content and look forward to holding private workshops that can explore the same concepts.
Manufacturing, quality, suppliers, service, procurement, program teams, and other stakeholders all need trusted product context, yet they rarely work in the same CAD, PLM, quality, or enterprise systems. When that context becomes difficult to access or understand, people recreate information in drawings, screenshots, spreadsheets, PDFs, presentations, and email. The digital thread may exist technically, while everyday decisions happen around it. This is exactly the type of scenario that the workshop addressed.
Attendees were able to see concrete examples of where manufacturers are creating value and practical ideas for their next step toward MBE including:
- Model-based work instructions that bring engineering product context directly into manufacturing.
- Model-based First Article Inspection that connects product definition, inspection requirements, results, supplier evidence, nonconformances, and disposition.
- Supplier collaboration across PLM and ERP processes so technical and business workflows remain connected as information moves across organizational boundaries.
- Ultra-portable standalone HTML Technical Data Packages that extend rich product information into supplier, field, disconnected, and controlled environments.
- Model-based review and revision workflows that keep feedback and decisions tied to the product context behind them.
- Closed-loop feedback that helps move issues and dispositions back into engineering and enterprise processes.
We did of course apply Anark Collaborate 5 Raptor, showing how a modern model-based collaboration platform can connect these use cases across teams, product data, and enterprise systems.
Anark looks forward to supporting the work with our partner Ariadne Engineering AB and if you have any questions, please Contact Anark for more information and to have a workshop we can do for you, with your data!
