3D Collaboration and Interoperability Congress March 2024
March 4-7, 2024 Golden, CO: Anark is back as a Signature Sponsor of the 3D Collaboration and Interoperability Congress (3DCIC) in-person for the first time since 2019.
3D CIC fosters intense and open conversations about CAD-agnostic digital methods for Model-Based Enterprise advancement. Design, Manufacturing, PLM and Supply Chain thought leaders from commercial and government organizations that present their stories of success, challenges, business strategy, and technology solutions. This has been a fantastic event over time with collaboration among knowledgeable industry attendees and vendors.
The Digital Thread Racetrack: Where’s The On-Ramp?
An important topic for Anark recently has been the PLM collaboration gap in manufacturing. This refers to the disconnect that often exists between daily PLM users in Engineering and the multitude of stakeholders inside and outside the organization involved in the production process. These stakeholders include manufacturing operations and production, quality, procurement and sourcing, suppliers and contract manufacturers, service and support, and even customers.
Historically, these disconnected groups work in isolation from one another, in their own system of record, leading to inefficiencies, miscommunication, delays, and a lack of agility in responding to issues and market demands. The concept of a Digital Thread, Industry 4.0 or even PLM is difficult to comprehend for these type of organizations. Innovative strategies are needed to transform supplier collaboration for them.
Anark VP of Marketing and Alliances, Patrick Dunfey will be taking this theme further in his usual entertaining way by posing the question of "The Digital Thread Racetrack: Where’s The On-Ramp?" Everyone has seen it, a digital thread pitch where the diagram looks like a perfectly closed loop racetrack with systems and machines connected in a clean closed-loop diagram. The only problem, there’s no on-ramp to get into the race! In the Anark session Wednesday at 10:50AM, Patrick will look at why this is happening, what problems it causes, and how manufacturers are taking action to build an on-ramp for their diverse workforce and supply chain.
Anark along with the MBE Enthusiast partners Belcan, CAPVIDIA, ITI Wipro, Origin and Sigmetrix will be hosting an open reception for all 3D CIC attendees at the Table Mountain Inn, in the Kokopelli Room Tuesday March 5 from 7:00-9:30PM.
