Written by James Martin | Aug 20, 2025 7:08:15 PM

September 23-25, 2025 Phoenix, Arizona:

Anark will be back at the Global Product Data Interoperability Summit 2025 to sponsor and present our strengths within this Aerospace and Defense community that includes the event partner manufacturing companies Boeing, Northrup Grumman, Parker Aerospace along with Lockheed Martin returning this year.  Other Anark customers include Honeywell, BAE, Moog and more plus we are especially excited that BETA Technologies plans to be there presenting together with Anark!

Anark VP of Marketing Patrick Dunfey will drive this presentation with BETA on Thursday September 25th at 10:40AM entitled:

Accelerating FAA Type Certification with Visual 3D TDPs: BETA Technologies’ Journey to Scalable Compliance and Supplier Collaboration

The theme of the session will be Anark's work with BETA where FAA certification is a monumental milestone for emerging aircraft manufacturers, and a major product data challenge. The BETA team developing electric vertical aircraft needed a way to deliver detailed, cert-ready engineering packages to the FAA and a diverse, fast-moving supply chain, without requiring recipients to procure expensive CAD tools or interpret proprietary file formats. In this session, inputs from Jesse Cannon (Configuration Management Engineering) and Rick Florence (Configuration Manager – Aircraft Certification) will address how BETA tackled this challenge. Attendees will gain insight into why CAD-neutral, visually rich 3D TDPs are essential to FAA type certification and how the publishing challenges posed by 3DEXPERIENCE were addressed.

Digital Engineering Solutions (DOD Instruction 5000.97) for Aerospace and Defense

Anark will also continue the conversations on how a Digital Engineering solution built on a manufacturing collaboration platform addresses 3 foundational requirements of DOD Instruction 5000.97 including:

  1. Making data visible, accessible, understandable, linked, trustworthy, interoperable, and secure.

  2. Informing decision-makers throughout a system’s life cycle by providing the capability to access, integrate, and transform data into actionable information while supporting a feedback loop over the life cycle.

  3. Powering digital collaboration value including government-to-government, contractor-to-government, and contractor-to-supplier digital collaboration, and more.

Many of these exact concepts of DoDI 5000.97 were proven out by the recently completed OIB Modernization Project with MxD, Picatinny Arsenal, and Rock Island Arsenal as sponsored by OSD MANTECH.

Anark continues to drive forward with Boeing also as they continue to utilize Anark & Open Standards to Deploy a Connected & Collaborative Digital Enterprise.  Boeing continues to embrace open standards as a cornerstone of its vision for improved data access and collaboration.  Anark is a valued Boeing Digital enablement partner, providing advanced content management, data distribution, & visual collaboration throughout the extended enterprise.
