PTCUSER Global Summit 2026: The market is ready for better Technical Data Collaboration

It was great seeing many of our customers and partners at the PTC/USER Global Summit in Las Vegas April 2026. After months of preparation and five major events in two months, the conversations around the future of Technical Data Packages, Digital Data Packages and Model-Based Enterprise workflows were some of the strongest we have seen in years.

One theme became very clear throughout the event: organizations are actively rethinking how engineering data is packaged, shared, consumed, and sustained across the digital thread.

At Anark, this is not a new direction for us. We have spent nearly 20 years helping customers operationalize Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Technical Data Package (TDP) strategies at enterprise scale.

The strong interest in our new HTML Standalone Digital Data Package (DDP) offering reinforced that the market is moving toward lightweight, high-performance, standards-based technical content experiences that work both inside and outside traditional PLM environments.

What also became increasingly apparent at the event is that many traditional PLM and CAD vendors are only now beginning to recognize how important downstream visualization, collaboration, and consumable technical data experiences have become.

While many PLM and CAD vendors discuss newer 3D PDF file based approaches and early-stage web collaboration concepts, Anark customers are already deploying mature production solutions today that combine:

  • Standalone and hosted HTML technical data experiences
  • Proven 3D PDF Technical Data Packages
  • Enterprise-scale collaboration workflows
  • High-fidelity MBD visualization and automation
  • Flexible deployment models across engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and sustainment

There was considerable industry discussion around web-native engineering collaboration and connected digital product experiences. These conversations align directly with capabilities Anark has been delivering for years through Anark Collaborate, Anark Publish, Anark Workstation and our expanding Content-Centric Collaboration solutions with Anark Collaborate Spaces!

As the industry continues evolving from static deliverables toward living digital product data ecosystems, we are excited to continue helping organizations bridge the gap between engineering systems and real operational use cases,. This takes our customers beyond what traditional PLM and CAD platforms alone were originally designed to deliver and well beyond any new and somewhat immature capabilities that they are just now starting to consider for supporting standardized and open approaches to collaboration.
